Forever Red

I love fragrances. I think I truly began to appreciate how special and unique fragrance can make you feel after a few years of working at Bath & Body Works.
The company has recently launched a one of a kind fragrance called Forever Red. Its completely different from anything they have ever produced. The creators were given permission to spend 30% more than their normal budget in order to truly WOW the customers. What's even more interesting, is that typically the perfumers spend a few years creating a fragrance.  Forever Red was no different.
What is different is the quality and quantity of fragrance notes. Forever Red contains over 80 ingredients, including red pomegranate, red peach, marshmallow extract, and osmanthus-a single flower that smells like an entire bouquet. Needless to say- you need to go smell!!!!
The company even made a website exclusive to Forever Red.

STRIPES!

I LOVE anything with stripes or polka dots.  From phone covers to my clothes, I love to incorporate these classic patterns into everything.  Today, it was our outfits.  Love.

Deal of the Day!

As many of you know, I've worked for Bath & Body Works for many years.  Typically, we focus on body care and home fragrance, but not a ton of home decor, so when this beauty came in, I immediately was thinking of ways to incorporate it into my living room.  

(sorry for the horrid picture - the BBW website does not have this item, but the stores do!)

The price tag on this is 39.50 - a bit high for my liking.  It's black nickel, so it's made really well, but I wasn't sold - even with my 40% off discount.  Luckily, I had to make a quick trip to target, and walked through the home section.  In the clearance isle, I was so pumped to stumble upon this!  It's adorable and has a little bird on it also!  The quality is not the same, but for what I need it for, it totally works. 

And the price was soooo much better! 

There wasn't a ton of them left, but on the Target website, there is a ton of cute clearance home decor.  I am pretty proud of my find, and hope that my Christmas shopping goes this well...wishful thinking.

The Day We Met Lillie Mae

May 31st, 2012 was the best, scariest, craziest, and absolutely most amazing day of my life!  It all started after a Duck Dynasty - Luke and I's FAV show - marathon, after which I had fallen asleep on our couch.  At about 3am, I had gotten up off the couch (thank God), and started to waddle into bed.  That is when it all started...my water had broken - 3 weeks early might I add.  Of coarse, I freaked out and screamed to Luke to start packing my hospital bag. (It was on my to do list for the following day.)  He continued to stuff a bag full of underwear and Bath & Body Works products I wanted along with me - don't judge.  He proceeded to GOOGLE, yes GOOGLE what to do after your water breaks, but eventually we ended up in the car on the way to the hospital.  A short 12 hours later, at 2:57p, our Lillie Mae was born. 

Our lives have never been the same since, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
